Earlier this month supermodel Chanel Iman got engaged to New York Giants player Sterling Shepard after almost a year of dating.
“A night full of tears of happiness I’m beyond excited to spend the rest of my life with you…you are my soulmate, my best friend, my everything! Can’t wait to be your Mrs.”, the 27 year old model wrote.
On December 3rd Chanel shared the perfect moment on Instagram with 1.4 million fans. The post shows Sterling Shepard kneeling on a rooftop surrounded by candles with the sparkling city skyline lighting up the night. But there is no glimpse of the beautiful diamond engagement ring.
We didn’t see the engagement ring until the engaged couple celebrated with friends in New York with drinks and dancing. From the looks of it the diamond engagement ring is a square cut diamond in a raised setting with a pave band, but we can’t be sure until the model gives us a closer glimpse of the dazzling gem.
“The catch of my dreams…can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” wrote Shepard on his Instagram of the same snap shared by Iman.
The engagement comes days after the model’s 27th birthday on December 1. In early 2014 it was rumored that Iman was engaged to rapper A$AP Rocky but the couple broke up several months later, and the engagement was never confirmed.
Luckily for the engaged couple their romance has been kept on the down low in comparison to Iman’s relationship with A$AP Rocky.
The engagement comes the same weekend as a flurry of other celebrity engagements including Kaley Cuoco and Claire Holt. Which means more lovely proposals to get celeb worthy inspiration from and even more engagement rings!
